We have a couple of research papers to have a look through, both on the importance of physical health.

The first is entitled Promoting Physical Activity in Children and Youth and is aimed at schools looking to increase the amount of physical activity they currently offer, although it can also benefit any groups working with children and is just an interesting read in general.

It covers areas such as why physical activity in children is important, how long they should be exercising for and how physical activity can continue beyond the classroom.

The second paper is called Physical Activity and Health in Europe: Evidence for Action and has a number of interesting sections including what factors influence physical activity and what the health sector can do to increase the amount of physical activity.

Whilst these papers are interesting reading they can be quite technical at times, so don't be surprised if any children attempting to read them get bored quite quickly!
